The uppermost catchments of Kali and Kutti rivers are lesser Known and longest traveling region of Kumaon Himalayas. Mount Adi Kailash also known as Chotta Kailash, is situated close to Indo-Tiber border in Pithoragarh district. But, however, it is in the Indian Territory
Mount Adi-Kailash is in many ways, a replica of well-known Mount Kailash, which is in Tibet, China. Especially both have the same appearance. It is an area of splendid natural beauty with peace of serenity. At the very foot of Mount Adi-Kailash is Gauri Kund, whose water reflects on the Mountain itself close by in Parvati Sarovar. On the bank of this sarovar local people erected a temple of Shiv and Parvati.
Om Parvat, is also in this route, after Gunji Camp at Nabhidhang where one can see "Om Parvat" a miracle of nature. Snow lies on the mountain in the shape of perpetual 'Om' from the time-immemorial the peace and spiritual aura of the mount get you the feeling of Lord Shiva.
